Shameless plug.
I just arrived back from Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival after screening my documentary East of Havana about Cuba’s youth culture. After traveling for over a year with this film, the Q&A’s are only getting better and better regarding the future of Cuba. Sony/Bmg bought the film so hopefully you’ll be seeing it on DVD sometime next year. For updates, just check here often as I’ll post new happenings…
The doc is featured in the current issue of The Journal (a class act operation out of Brooklyn). It’s an independent high-quality quarterly covering contemporary arts, culture, music, skateboarding, snowboarding and all the unique individuals in that world. Each issue is a collectors item. This is the EOH feature with photographs of our characters by Jason Florio, who we dragged to Cuba on the making of this film.
